RETREADING

Savvy business owners looking to preserve their capital will want to consider the retreading process now available at Redwood General Tire. The patented new process is specially designed to process solid rubber and filled tires on their rims. We use exclusive special service tread rubber, especially applications,. Tread is 75 Durometer hardness, as compared to truck compounds which are usually 62 to 65 hardness.

By taking advantage of the new technology, only available at Redwood General Tire, industrial users can recondition a worn-out tire and save significantly over the cost of new industrial tires. The retreading process can achieve equal or better performance than the new tire gave at half the price.

Redwood General's process builds tires back to their original diameter. Solid rubber tires never wear out. Our process allows us to build the tire in 1/8 inch increments, so we will match tires in diameter or build back to the original diameter. Our process solves flat spot or out-of-round tires. Tires are buffed on patented burrs that true tires with the precision of a lathe. We can do so with a variety of tread designs so they can fit your specific application. Normal tread designs are deep traction, lug or smooth, but we can obtain any tread normal available for truck tires.

By using retreads, our customers save about half of the cost of a new tire. Industrial retreads, like new industrial tires, cost more than normal retreads, but the added performance far outweighs the slight additional cost.
